Driver willfully fails to obey signal of police or conservation officer to stop by increasing speed, extinguishing lights, or attempting to flee or elude.

an individual who violates subsection (1) is guilty of fourth-degree fleeing and eluding, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 2 years or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both.
